Kick Guild Leader?
Our guild leader has not been on for 2 weeks, so most of our members started to leave. Is there a way to kick our guild leader?

Nope, there is no way. However, an Officer can pretty much assume the role of the Guild Leader for most things.

It seems to me that if the leader is absent long enough he reverts to an officer and an officer is automatically promoted. Can anyone verify that? Just a forum rumor or reality? That may not help in your current situation though.
Why is it so vital that the leader be on for others to continue in the guild? |

If he is inactive for 2 months(i think) he will be replaced by an officer. That is the way it used to work at least. AFAIK it is the same now.

if he is inactive for 3 months the next longest serving officer will be promoted and the "current" guild leader will be demoted to officer.

Being gone 2 weeks isn't a big deal.

its 2 months, and GW auto desegnates an officer to the role of Guild leader.
but if your guild is active enough, an officer can still recruit/kick...no reason to leave |

As a guild leader myself, I'm hacked off at the fact that people expect us to come into the game every single day, and arrange everything at that.
Try to get in touch with your leader, see what's happening, and if he has quit GW without warning, let the auto-kick take place and rebuild. Set up a forum for your guild and alliance so that members can remain in contact as well. That way, if anyone is off for an extended period of time, you can let peeps know. It's also a good excuse to lay off the GW as an when you feel the need. Problem solved. |

Taking a few weeks off does help renew interest.

I can attest to the fact that it is 2 months exactly from when a guild leader logs in that they demote him to officer status.
It then promotes the officer who has the longest tenure in guild (by join date) to the new leader position. Ah, the things you learn when one of the guild leaders of your well known service guild pimps us out for real world money without our knowledge on an infamous auction site. |

Two weeks is really no big deal...things happen and real life takes the reigns for a while. Just have an officer fill in...no biggie.
P.S. Dammit Caleb, change your avatar...I just threw up in my mouth a little. |
